January 17th, 2011 ~ Hi everyone! We just got back from the overnight trip to the Immokalee Seminole Casino! WOW what a great trip, we had lots of winners! The Hampton Inn was wonderful, new, clean and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was way better than the usual, with hot biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, make your own fresh waffles that everyone loved plus all the usual continental breakfast things including a wide assortment of muffins, sweet rolls and other goodies! We all had a lot of fun and the dinner stop at the Gulf Coast Town Center was really nice! We have another overnight trip scheduled for Sunday March 20th and Monday the 21st. Hi everyone we just got back from our 4 day trip to Pearl River Resort in Mississippi it was a really good trip and we all had a lot of fun playing our slot pool and all the rest of our favorite machines! Everyone got together to eat our Thanksgiving day dinner at the Chef's Pavilion and had a really nice meal. The Golden Moon is in the process of being converted into a premier convention center, the casino floor will be the arena for some new A-list entertainment with a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. Martina McBride is scheduled to perform there in January 2011. We can't wait to see what it all looks like when they finish the remodel.
The Royal Caribbean Cruise for January 2011 has sold out but you may be able to get a cabin if you call K & M Travel 813-788-6686. We thought maybe you would like to try another really good cruise value so we have added a Carnival Cruise Lines trip to Cozumel, Mexico for April 14th, 2011 check it out on the schedule of trips.
The trip to Immokalee on Tuesday November 9th was a big hit with everyone. We had a lot of winners going home with more money that they came with! We have scheduled a new trip to the Immokalee Casino for Saturday December 11th, 2010 so if you missed the last one or want to go again we suggest you sign up soon since the last one sold out so quickly!
If you have to much to do on weekdays then check this out! We have an overnight trip to Immokalee scheduled in January it will be Saturday and Sunday so even all of you who are still working can go! Check it out on the Schedule of Trips.
The STC Party
at Alice Hall Building in Zephyr Park was a great success! We had a real nice
turnout and everyone brought some real tasty treats! If you missed this one make
sure you get the tickets for the Holiday Party
on December 29. Seven Zephyrhills area businesses participated for
the first time in the 10 years we have been having these fun parties at the
Alice Hall building!

We are happy to announce that the Sunshine Travel Club has made arrangements with Karen and Marvin the owners of K & M to move our office to their location downtown at 38507 5th Ave. We will have a desk area in their office for you to come in and make payments and get information about our upcoming trips. This is not a merger the Sunshine Travel club is still a separate entity we will just be using desk space at K & M.
The club’s phone number will stay the same (813-782-6940) and we will still be able to take your Visa and MC payments in person. Our office hours will be longer from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.
This of course means we have closed our wonderful office on Allen Road. This is not a decision we made easily but with the economic turndown fewer people have been taking trips with us. It is important to remember that the Club’s overhead is only met when the last 10 seats on our coaches are filled.
This last summer season has been particularly difficult as we have had to cancel more trips then we ever have in the last 10 years. We hope you understand that we want to continue to provide all of you with very high quality entertaining trips to all the places you want to go.
When the economy improves, and we have absolute faith that it will, we will then work on opening our own office again. Until then, we sincerely hope that this compromise will work for you and the Club.
